Nerd Lacquer Cold & Calculating and I Think You Call Me Sexy
Like many others I was very sad when Nerd Lacquers disappeared last fall. Her Etsy shop closed, her Google plus page went unupdated and her polishes slowly disappeared from retailers. Her polishes were complex sparkly and amazing and so easy to . . . → Read More: Nerd Lacquer is back!

Elevation Polish Ginza – Ozotic 528 – over Zoya Cynthia
A little late but here is my New Year’s Eve manicure. It is Elevation Polish Ginza, a wonderful multi colored glitter, sandwiched between a base coat of Zoya Cynthia and under Ozotic 528. Zoya Cynthia is a perfect blackened teal base and Ozotic . . . → Read More: New Year’s Manicure – Elevation Polish Ginza

I just got in a new NerdLacquer order and again my whole reaction is OMG so sparkly. I’ve worn a couple of colors from the other batch and compared to other glitter polishes I own they apply wonderfully and they wear tremendously well. Even just swatching I can tell that these won’t be a . . . → Read More: NerdLacquers! New colors!

NerdLacquers are made by Amanda Collier a graphic designer & Sci-fi fan. She has managed to leave her day job to work on polish full time!
Her polishes are named after things from Dr Who and Firefly and Monty Python. They are usually available through her Etsy shop (currently on vacation), Harlow & Co. and Think Geek. The colors are amazing and so rich looking. They are just packed with different sizes and textures of glitter. Her new bottles are nice and heavy and look like the Seche Vite bottles. I am so ordering more when she restocks.
Here are all the colors I have so far:
NerdLacquer Lento, ≠C, Nebula, Data Squirrel, The Quantum Bluniverse, It's Just a Flesh Wound, Warrior Ethos, Event Horizon, Argentum
GIANT photos of individual colors on the next page.

This blog gets a lot of traffic from the Kleancolor posts I’d made awhile back so I thought I’d toss out this update. It looks like my bottle of Afternoon Picnic is turning orange like the bottle of Shooting Star I had. I can’t tell if anything is going on with the other Kleancolor . . . → Read More: Kleancolor – update and alternative

I finally have a chance to review the Kleancolor polishes I got on ebay a while back. I’m not sure that I’ll buy them again. They came looking like they’d been opened. The main minus of these polishes though is the smell. They smell worse than anything else I own – even the . . . → Read More: Kleancolor

I’ve recently started using polish again and was looking for a system to keep track of my nail polish and remember how each of them looks.
This one I bought because it was the first one I found. I’m not sure how much it cost – it . . . → Read More: nail swatches…
